Why Do I Write?
Writing for children and young adults is a reflection of my life, as a daughter, granddaughter, sibling, wife, mother of two loving grown children, grandmother to two caring grandchildren, and being a retired teacher. I substitute taught for grades K-12 for several years before becoming a teacher, and taught seventh grade Spanish and Language Arts in a career that spanned over 20 years. It means influencing young minds in order to create a better world. As I write for children, I strive to make my written works, the key that unlocks their imaginations to unexplored realms, known and unknown.
